You're your biggest op

Can I be vulnerable for a sec? (Of course I can, this is my newsletter!)

I struggle with Imposter Syndrome and it's something I've attacked from multiple angles this year. I feel it less now, but it's still there.

If you don't know, Imposter Syndrome is the feeling that you don't deserve your success or that you'll be "exposed" as a fraud (aka an imposter).

This led to self-sabotaging behaviors and contributed to more self-doubt.

As I began to heal this, I started seeking out answers from people who overcame self-sabotage and Imposter Syndrome.

Here were some great ones:

  • Nepo babies exist. They didn't "earn" their spot through merit, but usually through someone else's influence. So why do you feel Imposter Syndrome? (VALID)
  • Society's "shoulds" are dumb. Take advice from people you care about, not what society expects from you.
  • Limiting beliefs are a killer. Work on your beliefs about yourself and make decisions from that place.
  • Speaking of limited beliefs - affirmations work!
  • Do it scared. Eventually, you will feel better through exposure. Be okay with being uncomfortable.
  • No one is thinking about you as much as you're thinking about yourself.
  • You're literally gonna 💀 one day, so stop worrying. It was never that serious.
  • It's okay to show progress! Don't think you have to be an expert to provide value.

Even just writing these out helped me feel more at ease.

I know it sounds woo-woo, but mindset and inner work are important.

And I keep coming back to it, but that's why it feels scary for people to start a business, start creating content, or pivot their career...they haven't looked inward enough to see what's blocking them.

So here's to us, unblocking our limited beliefs and realizing our full potential. 🤗

Ciao for now,

This is a quote from Soviet dissident Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn from his famous book, "The Gulag Archipelago." It's one I reflect on often, and it sits especially heavy on my heart after last week. "Gradually, it was disclosed to me that the line separating good and evil passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either—but right through every human heart—and through all human hearts." That's the newsletter for today. 🤍, Dom 1230 22nd Ave Kenosha, WI...

A few weeks ago, I was at my cousin's house and he asked, "Have you seen Kpop Demon Hunters?" And I was like.... no? He goes, "I'm putting it on." Loved it, 10/10, no notes. I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't that. I went home and watched it again a few days later. (Am I hooked?) I won't spoil it, but it has a lot of philosophical story lines. Good & evil, feeling uncomfortable about our true selves, stepping into your power...it got deep! This movie became an international...

I woke up today to a brisk morning and realized it's almost SEPTEMBER?! K! Bye, where did summer go? Though I'm not looking forward to a long winter, the colder months are definitely when I reflect more. Last winter, I had damn near a whole reinvention of self. One could say I locked in. Locked in but never stressing It's not too late Q4 can really seem like a blur. Fall comes, the holidays follow, and boom - it's 2026. But last year, instead of falling into the mindset that the year is...
